Dubrovnik to Trogir transfer: the full run up the coast

A Dubrovnik to Trogir transfer covers almost the whole of southern and central Dalmatia. From Dubrovnik the road heads north-west to Ston and over the Pelješac Bridge, which bypasses the Neum corridor through Bosnia and Herzegovina, so the trip stays in Croatia. After the Neretva valley the driver takes the A1 motorway or the coast road, then passes Split and the Kaštela bay before reaching Trogir.

About Trogir

Trogir’s old town sits on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo, linked to both by short bridges. Its medieval centre, with the Cathedral of St Lawrence and the Kamerlengo fortress, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The streets inside are pedestrian, so the driver stops at the nearest bridge or at your hotel if it is outside the centre.

Useful to know

  • Split airport is only a few kilometres from Trogir, which makes the town a practical last night before a flight.
  • Many charter boats leave from the marinas around Trogir; send the marina name and we drop you at the gate.
  • No passport check is needed on this route, but hotels will ask for ID at check-in.
  • Summer Saturdays are the busiest days on the coast road.
