Dubrovnik to Tivat Airport transfer: the route

A Dubrovnik to Tivat Airport transfer follows the Adriatic highway south-east past Cavtat and through Konavle to the border, then descends to Herceg Novi at the mouth of the Bay of Kotor. From there the quickest way to Tivat is usually the short car ferry across the Verige strait from Kamenari to Lepetane. When the ferry queue is long, the driver can take the road around the bay through Risan and Kotor instead.

Croatia is in the Schengen Area and Montenegro is not, so documents are checked on both sides. You normally stay in the car and hand passports or ID cards to the driver or the officer. Keep them in your hand luggage, as you will need them again at the airport.
